- Confirm whether the community has a developer NOC process (Emaar, Nakheel, Meraas, DAMAC, Rukan, etc.)
- Confirm which municipality/authority governs the plot
- Existing architectural and structural drawings, if available
- A clear scope: added floor space, wall removal, rooftop addition, pool, etc.
- Whether a structural integrity certificate will be required for the specific change
- Title deed and owner ID
